First we come out to your home for a personalized estimate. This estimate will include doing an analysis with the home owner to determine camera locations that offer the best coverage. This includes outside camera placements and inside camera place, if needed. Then after determining the location and number of cameras needed we discuss and show the types of cameras we offer. Lastly we will determine the best location for your computer recording server to be located. This can be located virtually anywhere in the home.
We will install and setup your PC-based recording server and configure it to your network. For outdoor cameras we will mount and install in the predetermined location. The majority of the work will take place in your attic and along the soffits of your home. We will carefully route CAT5E ethernet cable from the cameras to the pre-determined interior wall cavity in the attic. Then we will drill and route the cables through the inside of the interior wall from the attic to the predetermined location of the Recording Server. There we will terminate the cable ends and attach everything to the POE (Power over ethernet) switch at the server. There will be absolutely no exposed wires coming from the cameras that would cause an eyesore.
Next we will adjust the cameras for the best field of view. Once the customer is satisfied with the installation and the views we will program and setup your remote access devices. If the customer has an iPad or Android device, we will install the remote access application that way you can view your cameras while you are not at home. Lastly will will show the customer how to use all the equipment and answer any questions.
